Gary Zhao obtained his PhD of Biomedical Sciences at Ohio State University, and carried out postdoctoral training in Genetics and Hematology at University of Utah. He is an adjunct assistant professor at Medical College of Wisconsin. As a translational scientist, Gary is working on using machine learning tools to improve the diagnosis and clinical care of hematological abnormalities. He is collaborating with Prof. Dr. Florian Buettner on using explainable artificial intellegence (XAI) in characterizing cells of clonal hematopoiesis.
